Мне на днях пришло интересное письмо с вопросом. Вопрос может оказаться значимым для многих гостей форума, поэтому решаюсь на него указать. Почему люди в Библии часто называются “сынами Божиими” и “богами”? Что значит наше Богосыновство? Один з читателей нашего сайта, видимо их Америки и православный, заинтересовался этим вопросом. Dear, Mr. Holmogorov: Could you clarify for me one issue in the light of the ORTHODOX teaching. Of cource if you have couple minutes of free time, I know you are very busy. Are humans actually Sons of God? C.S. Lewis wrote in Mere Christianity that we are not, but just his creatures. He argued that the Father cannot have more than one Son. We can accept this term somehow after our salvation only. So by any rate, we cannot call ourselves — Sons of God. I know that Lewis considered legitimate in the Orthodoxy. However, this term is used almost everywhere in the Gospel. Especially in the genealogy of our Savior, it is clearly stated that Adam was Son of God. In what sense? I assume not in the Trinitarian one. In the Orthodox Creed it's also stated that Christ — Son of God was begotten not made. But we were made, right? There is also one unclear part for me in the Gospel: “peacekeepers will be named Sons of God”. Does that mean that before the act of peacekeeping they were not sons. Thank you very much.
